One definition states that gratitude is “Our full appreciation of something altogether unearned, utterly gratuitous: life, existence, ultimate belonging. Literally, it is… great-full-ness."*
Is that not what we all want? To lead full, enriching lives. You always hear … live life to the fullest. However, one can only truly live life to the fullest if there is an understanding or appreciation of the wonderful they have today, not the life they are waiting to have. Being grateful for all that surrounds you opens your heart and your mind to your truly amazing blessings.
“Often the precious riches we are looking for are right under our noses but we miss them. We can find valuable gifts in the most unexpected places if we get in the habit of being grateful for whatever is before us.” James Baraz and Shoshana Alexander, Grateful Heart, Joyful Heart
